# Wide vs Noor Play

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wide at free with in-app purchases against Noor Play's subscription. Wide also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and iOS requirement (14.3 vs 16.6). Noor Play's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wide sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Noor Play sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noor Play holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noor Play has 9.3K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Wide's written reviews are positive against 34% of Noor Play's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wide ships an update every 2 weeks, Noor Play monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
