# Pilot's Path vs Sandcastle TD

The clearest difference is ads: Pilot's Path at none against Sandcastle TD's shown. Pilot's Path also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Sandcastle TD's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pilot's Path sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Sandcastle TD sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sandcastle TD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pilot's Path has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pilot's Path ships an update every 2 months, Sandcastle TD every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
