# Blicke vs Sootly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sootly at free against Blicke's free with in-app purchases. Blicke's advantage is ratings volume (84 vs 22) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blicke sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Sootly sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Blicke against 4.8 for Sootly. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 84 and 22 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 99% of Blicke's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sootly's.

Blicke ships an update monthly, Sootly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
