# The KG App vs SchoolPass

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SchoolPass at 5K against The KG App's 11. SchoolPass also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for The KG App against 4.7 for SchoolPass. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolPass has 5K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The KG App ships an update every 2 months, SchoolPass monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
