# Nextcloud vs UniFi Design

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nextcloud at 62% against UniFi Design's 23%. Nextcloud also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 5). UniFi Design's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UniFi Design holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextcloud has 10K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Nextcloud's written reviews are positive against 23% of UniFi Design's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nextcloud ships an update every 10 days, UniFi Design fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
