# Nextcloud vs UGFile Station

The clearest difference is monetization model: Nextcloud at free against UGFile Station's free with in-app purchases. Nextcloud also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). UGFile Station's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UGFile Station holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextcloud has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nextcloud ships an update weekly, UGFile Station every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
