# Nextcloud vs Nextcloud Calendar

Nextcloud and Nextcloud Calendar both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Nextcloud Calendar's written reviews are positive against 61% of Nextcloud's. Nextcloud's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Nextcloud against 4.7 for Nextcloud Calendar. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextcloud has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Nextcloud's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nextcloud Calendar's.

Nextcloud ships an update weekly, Nextcloud Calendar every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
