# Simbi vs Neighbor

The clearest difference is rating: Neighbor at 4.7 against Simbi's 2.5. Neighbor also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 19) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Simbi's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Neighbor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Neighbor has 12K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Simbi's written reviews are positive against 35% of Neighbor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simbi ships an update every 6 weeks, Neighbor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
