# CameraPixels Lite vs Pro Camera

CameraPixels Lite and Pro Camera both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of CameraPixels Lite's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pro Camera's. CameraPixels Lite also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Pro Camera's advantage is ratings volume (999 vs 46). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CameraPixels Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for CameraPixels Lite against 4.4 for Pro Camera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 999 ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of CameraPixels Lite's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pro Camera's.

CameraPixels Lite ships an update every 6 weeks, Pro Camera every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
