# TempSense vs Thermometer

The clearest difference is rating: Thermometer at 4.4 against TempSense's 1.0. Thermometer also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 1). TempSense's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thermometer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. TempSense asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thermometer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermometer has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TempSense ships an update fortnightly, Thermometer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
