# Sound Alert. vs Bro

The clearest difference is rating: Bro at 3.7 against Sound Alert.'s 2.8. Bro also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 6). Sound Alert.'s advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sound Alert. sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bro sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bro holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bro has 1.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
