# Currently vs Tinyclouds Weather

The clearest difference is rating: Currently at 4.6 against Tinyclouds Weather's 4.3. Currently also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 105). Tinyclouds Weather's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.4 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Currently sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Tinyclouds Weather sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Currently holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Currently has 1.7K ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Currently's written reviews are positive against 58% of Tinyclouds Weather's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Currently ships an update every 2 months, Tinyclouds Weather every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
