# Pretty Random vs Raffle Name

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pretty Random at free with in-app purchases against Raffle Name's subscription. Pretty Random also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 57%). Raffle Name's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pretty Random sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Raffle Name sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Raffle Name holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raffle Name has 5.6K ratings behind it against 306, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Pretty Random's written reviews are positive against 57% of Raffle Name's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pretty Random ships an update monthly, Raffle Name every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
