# Device System Services vs Chat Keeper

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chat Keeper at none against Device System Services's 1. Chat Keeper also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). Device System Services's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (394 vs 58). On price, review sentiment, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device System Services sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chat Keeper asks for nothing beyond the download.

Device System Services holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device System Services has 394 ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Device System Services's written reviews are positive against 56% of Chat Keeper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Device System Services ships an update every 4 months, Chat Keeper every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
