# Resilio Sync vs WeTransfer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Resilio Sync at none against WeTransfer's 21. Resilio Sync also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (11 vs 16.0). WeTransfer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeTransfer sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Resilio Sync asks for nothing beyond the download.

WeTransfer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeTransfer has 80K ratings behind it against 861, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Resilio Sync's written reviews are positive against 63% of WeTransfer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Resilio Sync ships an update every 3 months, WeTransfer weekly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
