# Chert vs Fish Map App

The clearest difference is rating: Fish Map App at 5.0 against Chert's 4.6. Chert's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fish Map App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chert has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
