# Doodle Draw vs DrawPad

The clearest difference is rating: Doodle Draw at 4.4 against DrawPad's 3.2. Doodle Draw also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 86) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). DrawPad's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle Draw sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DrawPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doodle Draw holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Doodle Draw has 1.4K ratings behind it against 86, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of Doodle Draw's written reviews are positive against 40% of DrawPad's.

Doodle Draw ships an update every 6 months, DrawPad every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
