# Hoff vs UVI

The clearest difference is rating: Hoff at 4.8 against UVI's 3.7. Hoff also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 64%) and ratings volume (495 vs 3). UVI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hoff holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hoff has 495 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of Hoff's written reviews are positive against 64% of UVI's.

Hoff ships an update fortnightly, UVI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
