# W | Bear vs Chonk Club

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chonk Club at none against W | Bear's 3. Chonk Club also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 40%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). W | Bear's advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 33) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. W | Bear sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Chonk Club asks for nothing beyond the download.

W | Bear holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: W | Bear has 2.6K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of W | Bear's written reviews are positive against 75% of Chonk Club's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

W | Bear ships an update monthly, Chonk Club every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
