# VITALtuner vs Tuning Fork Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Tuning Fork Pro at 4.3 against VITALtuner's 3.8. Tuning Fork Pro also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). VITALtuner's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VITALtuner sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Tuning Fork Pro sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tuning Fork Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 50 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of VITALtuner's written reviews are positive against 46% of Tuning Fork Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VITALtuner ships an update every 3 months, Tuning Fork Pro every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
