# StitchTrick vs Pocket Knitting

StitchTrick and Pocket Knitting both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of Pocket Knitting's written reviews are positive against 33% of StitchTrick's. Pocket Knitting also leads on ratings volume (117 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StitchTrick sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pocket Knitting sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for StitchTrick against 4.9 for Pocket Knitting. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Knitting has 117 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of StitchTrick's written reviews are positive against 92% of Pocket Knitting's.

StitchTrick ships an update every 2 months, Pocket Knitting every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
