# Aktiv Learning vs Macmillan Learning eBook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Aktiv Learning at 73% against Macmillan Learning eBook's 11%. Aktiv Learning also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Macmillan Learning eBook's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aktiv Learning sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Macmillan Learning eBook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Macmillan Learning eBook holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Macmillan Learning eBook has 2.2K ratings behind it against 184, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Aktiv Learning's written reviews are positive against 11% of Macmillan Learning eBook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
