# Aktiv Learning vs Numerade

The clearest difference is rating: Numerade at 4.3 against Aktiv Learning's 3.2. Numerade also leads on ratings volume (643 vs 184) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Aktiv Learning's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (73% vs 49%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aktiv Learning sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Numerade sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Numerade holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 184 and 643 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Aktiv Learning's written reviews are positive against 49% of Numerade's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aktiv Learning ships an update every 3 weeks, Numerade fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
