# Hop Swap vs Monimal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Hop Swap at 140 against Monimal's 3. Hop Swap also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). Monimal's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hop Swap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Monimal sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monimal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hop Swap has 140 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Hop Swap's written reviews are positive against 50% of Monimal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hop Swap ships an update monthly, Monimal every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
