# Study.com vs SmartFind Express

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SmartFind Express at none against Study.com's 1. SmartFind Express also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). Study.com's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 19%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study.com sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SmartFind Express asks for nothing beyond the download.

SmartFind Express holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.8K and 15K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Study.com's written reviews are positive against 19% of SmartFind Express's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Study.com ships an update every 2 months, SmartFind Express every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
