# Study.com vs Medtrain

The clearest difference is update cadence: Study.com at every 2 months against Medtrain's every 9 months. Study.com also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study.com sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Medtrain sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Study.com ships an update every 2 months, Medtrain every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
