# eFiles vs UnderText

The clearest difference is ads: UnderText at none against eFiles's shown. UnderText also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). eFiles's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eFiles sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and UnderText sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eFiles ships an update every 2 months, UnderText weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
