# ERR News vs KPVI

The clearest difference is ads: ERR News at none against KPVI's shown. ERR News also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.6) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). KPVI's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ERR News holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KPVI has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
