# RaceChrono Pro vs Trackside

The clearest difference is price: Trackside at Free against RaceChrono Pro's $19.99. Trackside also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 57%) and update cadence (daily vs monthly). RaceChrono Pro's advantage is ratings volume (184 vs 3) and chart position (#13 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Trackside is free to download; RaceChrono Pro costs $19.99 up front. RaceChrono Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Trackside sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trackside holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RaceChrono Pro has 184 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of RaceChrono Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Trackside's.

RaceChrono Pro ships an update monthly, Trackside daily. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
