# Private VPN Proxy vs Burfy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Private VPN Proxy at 36K against Burfy's 20. Private VPN Proxy also leads on chart position (#91 vs unranked) and device support (4 vs 2). Burfy's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Private VPN Proxy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Burfy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Private VPN Proxy against 4.8 for Burfy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Private VPN Proxy has 36K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Private VPN Proxy's written reviews are positive against 71% of Burfy's.

Private VPN Proxy ships an update every 3 weeks, Burfy every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
