# InitialView vs UWorld College Prep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: InitialView at 100% against UWorld College Prep's 50%. InitialView also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). UWorld College Prep's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UWorld College Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UWorld College Prep has 77 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of InitialView's written reviews are positive against 50% of UWorld College Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InitialView ships an update monthly, UWorld College Prep every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
