# Notepad vs Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Notes at 4.7 against Notepad's 3.0. Notes also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1). Notepad's advantage is iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
