# The Drinking Game vs Thirsty

The clearest difference is update cadence: Thirsty at every 2 weeks against The Drinking Game's every 2 months. Thirsty also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). The Drinking Game's advantage is ratings volume (390 vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Drinking Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Thirsty sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for The Drinking Game against 4.8 for Thirsty. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Drinking Game has 390 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of The Drinking Game's written reviews are positive against 84% of Thirsty's.

The Drinking Game ships an update every 2 months, Thirsty every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
