# The Drinking Game vs Cheers

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cheers at weekly against The Drinking Game's every 2 months. Cheers also leads on ratings volume (16K vs 390) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Drinking Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cheers sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cheers holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cheers has 16K ratings behind it against 390, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 89% and 90% positive.

The Drinking Game ships an update every 2 months, Cheers weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
