# Brew Tracker vs Minimalist Launcher

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Brew Tracker at none against Minimalist Launcher's 8. Brew Tracker also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Minimalist Launcher's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minimalist Launcher sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Brew Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Minimalist Launcher holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minimalist Launcher has 3.6K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Brew Tracker's written reviews are positive against 86% of Minimalist Launcher's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brew Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Minimalist Launcher every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
