# Pyramid Billiard vs 8Ball.io

The clearest difference is ads: 8Ball.io at none against Pyramid Billiard's shown. 8Ball.io also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (90% vs 81%). Pyramid Billiard's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 100). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pyramid Billiard sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and 8Ball.io sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pyramid Billiard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyramid Billiard has 1.3K ratings behind it against 100, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Pyramid Billiard's written reviews are positive against 90% of 8Ball.io's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pyramid Billiard ships an update every 2 months, 8Ball.io fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
