# Mebo vs LEGO® Boost

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LEGO® Boost at 66% against Mebo's 19%. LEGO® Boost also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.2) and monetization model (free vs paid). Mebo's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LEGO® Boost holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LEGO® Boost has 4.3K ratings behind it against 191, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Mebo's written reviews are positive against 66% of LEGO® Boost's.

Mebo ships an update every 10 days, LEGO® Boost every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
