# TotalAV vs Knitting Buddy 2

TotalAV and Knitting Buddy 2 both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Knitting Buddy 2's written reviews are positive against 24% of TotalAV's. TotalAV's advantage is ratings volume (72K vs 11) and chart position (#85 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TotalAV sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Knitting Buddy 2 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for TotalAV against 4.5 for Knitting Buddy 2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TotalAV has 72K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 24% of TotalAV's written reviews are positive against 100% of Knitting Buddy 2's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
