# Tize vs Ableton Note

The clearest difference is price: Tize at Free against Ableton Note's $6.99. Tize also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (16K vs 699). Ableton Note's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (72% vs 53%). On update cadence, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Tize is free to download; Ableton Note costs $6.99 up front. Tize sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Ableton Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tize holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tize has 16K ratings behind it against 699, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Tize's written reviews are positive against 72% of Ableton Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tize ships an update every 3 weeks, Ableton Note every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
