# Dash Cam Plus vs StellarMate

The clearest difference is price: StellarMate at Free against Dash Cam Plus's $3.99. StellarMate also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 28 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 3). Dash Cam Plus's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.9) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

StellarMate is free to download; Dash Cam Plus costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dash Cam Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StellarMate has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Dash Cam Plus's written reviews are positive against 35% of StellarMate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dash Cam Plus ships an update every 28 months, StellarMate every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
