# Tip Solver vs Work

The clearest difference is price: Work at Free against Tip Solver's $1.99. Tip Solver's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 2.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Work is free to download; Tip Solver costs $1.99 up front. Work sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tip Solver asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tip Solver holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Solver has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Tip Solver ships an update every 5 months, Work every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on June 10, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
