# LCMC vs eReadBook

The clearest difference is update cadence: LCMC at every 4 months against eReadBook's every 10 months. eReadBook's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LCMC ships an update every 4 months, eReadBook every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
