# FY Cam vs image.canon

The clearest difference is ratings volume: image.canon at 314 against FY Cam's 6. image.canon also leads on rating (2.0 vs 1.7). FY Cam's advantage is iOS requirement (8.3 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

image.canon holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: image.canon has 314 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of FY Cam's written reviews are positive against 9% of image.canon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
