# Fast Messages & Widgets vs Magnets

Fast Messages & Widgets and Magnets both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Fast Messages & Widgets's written reviews are positive against 34% of Magnets's. Magnets's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fast Messages & Widgets sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Magnets sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Fast Messages & Widgets against 4.1 for Magnets. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magnets has 137 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Fast Messages & Widgets's written reviews are positive against 34% of Magnets's.

Fast Messages & Widgets ships an update every 8 months, Magnets every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
