# Video Compressor・Reduce Size vs Skwish

The clearest difference is ads: Skwish at none against Video Compressor・Reduce Size's shown. Skwish also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 17%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). Video Compressor・Reduce Size's advantage is ratings volume (320 vs 2) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Compressor・Reduce Size sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Skwish sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Compressor・Reduce Size holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compressor・Reduce Size has 320 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Video Compressor・Reduce Size's written reviews are positive against 50% of Skwish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Video Compressor・Reduce Size ships an update every 4 months, Skwish weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
