# Dual Messenger+ vs Messengers

The clearest difference is monetization model: Messengers at free with in-app purchases against Dual Messenger+'s subscription. Messengers also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). Dual Messenger+'s advantage is ratings volume (322K vs 58). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dual Messenger+ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Messengers sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Dual Messenger+ against 4.6 for Messengers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dual Messenger+ has 322K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 42% of Dual Messenger+'s written reviews are positive against 37% of Messengers's.

Dual Messenger+ ships an update every 5 months, Messengers fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
