# Play Orff vs Quantiloop Pro

The clearest difference is price: Play Orff at Free against Quantiloop Pro's $14.99. Play Orff also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Quantiloop Pro's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 18 months). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Play Orff is free to download; Quantiloop Pro costs $14.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Quantiloop Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quantiloop Pro has 201 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Play Orff's written reviews are positive against 94% of Quantiloop Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Play Orff ships an update every 18 months, Quantiloop Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
