# Twinkly vs Dazzl Lights

The clearest difference is rating: Dazzl Lights at 5.0 against Twinkly's 4.6. Dazzl Lights also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Twinkly's advantage is ratings volume (48K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dazzl Lights holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twinkly has 48K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Twinkly ships an update fortnightly, Dazzl Lights every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
