# Twinkly vs Aurelux

The clearest difference is rating: Aurelux at 5.0 against Twinkly's 4.6. Aurelux also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Twinkly's advantage is ratings volume (48K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aurelux holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twinkly has 48K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Twinkly ships an update fortnightly, Aurelux every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
