# Wi vs 7

The clearest difference is ads: 7 at none against Wi's shown. 7 also leads on ratings volume (301 vs 15) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Wi's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Wi against 4.7 for 7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 7 has 301 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Wi's written reviews are positive against 36% of 7's.

Wi ships an update every 7 months, 7 every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
